<Simon> I don't know about India, but for Europeans, your home bank will usually give you better rates. The cheapest way for me to exchange Euros is with my European ATM card. <Simon> For short trips, I always simply loaded money onto my EasyCard. Airport to Taipei is 160 NTD, single fares within Taipei are usually between 20 and 35, unless you go outside the center.

<Simon> Depending on how much you plan to go around the city, and how much you value "just not thinking about it", other options might be better for you.

<Simon> A quick research tells me that Lion Travel counter at the airport should sell the "FunPass" - they have 1, 2 or 3 day options with only transport, or also some attractions included.
