Handbreak is way slower than ffmpeg
ffmpeg 147fps
Handbreak only 80
handbrake should have used same code for that
handbreak never can use hw to decode
while you can pass -hwaccel to decode for ffmpeg
so HandBreak is SW decode, filter then HW encode
ffmpeg you can force it to HW all the way
learned a lot by maintaining the English Channel
The -hwaccel only suggest ffmpeg to use hardware decoding if it's available
Not every format or colour space can be hardware decoded
i can use dxva2 to decode, subtitle , then encode using qsv
so i still can archive 14x fps
