You are the network administrator of DILWL Institute. It is a post-secondary institution which offers many higher diploma and associated degree courses for youth students in Hong Kong. The institute is now preparing to reconstruct the campus computer network. You are now required to setup the whole system including the network infrastructure. The details of the configuration are as follows:
1. The network is segmented into zones and VLAN technology should be implemented.
2. The servers connecting to the internet are locating in the DMZ.
3. The servers should provide at least the following services:
FTP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, Proxy, Email, Directory Services and Network File Services.
4. Server Virtualization solution should be implemented.
5. Extra marks will be given to additional functions and services in your system to enhance the
stability, scalability and security of the network.
6. Hardware and software are not limited in conditioned that they are illegal to use in the lab.
You need to:
1. Design a campus network for the above situation.
2. Select suitable network devices for the above designed network.
3. Implement your system using suitable software and hardware.
