而家 XGSPON 先有理由懷疑係開始自己鋪 last mile 咁解
我知道 CMHK 係葵涌 iTech 有租咗層做機樓
唉 Juniper 啲 software 都係麻麻地，新機 issu stuck
都係貪佢 FIB 大，開始有 100G peering 要駁
呢部嘢話時話 support 400G 頭，不過都係 Juniper 一向天性，開 400G 同一個 port group 其他 port 就廢咗
upgrade 完仲要開始諗移backbone link 落去
CT CN2 掉返轉買 PCCW transit 嘅
但係 CT ChinaNet 聽聞係被強姦香港要 paid peering
話時話佢啲 tender 全部都係買 Cisco 機 😆
CT CU 啲 border core 都係 Cisco...
佢哋係大陸 一部 OLT 幾千戶好似淨係比 20G uplink
xgspon 個個玩 speed test 就算你玩 qos 落 queue 應該會唔掂
我一路好奇而家用咗 combo card 之後 uplink 有幾多

no10 is it like running at capacity

When young I always heard the news saying the phonelines are very busy so avoid unnecessary calls, even when GSM time.

I seldom hear any news about internet traffic at capacity
WFH higher or typhoon higher tho🤔
people tended to do more streaming and video meetings
Because if no congestion and oversell you can't really make money
Only after you earned the 1st batch then you can upgrade and reduce congestion to minimum
New tech makes congestion more tolerable
but internet traffic seems like never been able to hit the news anymore
no one can know the capcity
Actually there's some public info
HKIX has traffic stats but that unlikely to be accurate to actual expericence
Like a summary of all activated international capacity from OFCA
Can get a rough idea about international connectivity
IX is more like local internet usage
But the biggest content network usually have dedicated peering with large telcos
Google even have a self-service peering portal to check all PNIs
but not realtiem info tho
There should be a regulation to make mass market ISP should open their capcity and RT info to customer

Data is not that expensive
There is already carrier Wi-Fi?
O2 Wifi is free for O2 users
There is Wifi in tube platforms
even the train itself has no signal
Um...not only in Tube. Any 5G is not very good yet
BT has Wifi for EE/BT user
Cellular data coverage is extensive
The place that is low reception is when you drive on M4
but more major road like M1 is very good
and these place wifi also no use
Where do you want to implement this?
I have been to major Malls
Modern malls 99% have Free Wifi
Maccies has O2 Wifi/BT Wifi and Free wifi..................
Cafeteria? They have... Tube? They have? Trains? They even have onboard Wifi................
ASR 9912 is it a good router ?
not people really care..it's free
Use at least 3rd gen line card
Travelodge and PremierInn don't have
Holiday Inn Express has free wifi
this is why I prefer HolidayInn Express than others
ASR router support 100G and 400G port
Um...ASR 9001 already have 100G port
成個殼 throughput 得 120Gbps 點做 100G 頭
Cisco ASR-9006 is also good
